I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in individual, couples and group therapy, and maintain a private practice in Dallas, Texas.
With over twenty years experience, and as a graduate of The University of North Texas, I am currently serving as private practioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are: depression, anxiety, LGBT issues, sexual addiction/compulsivity, and domestic violence.
In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, I have presented workshops and conferences speaking on the topics of: Domestic Violence, Poly Relationships, Communication Skills, Stress Management, and HIV Prevention Strategies. I have a background in Children's Protective Services for five years, and community mental health centers for seven years. I was a member of the Professional Advisory Board for Pastorial Counseling and Education Center, Dallas, Texas for fifteen years. I was an advocate for HIV Community Prevention Planning from 1990 to 2006, working closely with the Texas Department of Health, and the CDC, Atlanta, Georgia.
I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
